Art is a window that allows us to create a visual dialogue with those ancestral universes that, without realizing it, are in our DNA and that we carry with us as migrant artists. Art helps us create a connection with the city to which we migrate and the territory we once inhabited. It is like a thread that interconnects the past, the present, and the future. As migrant artists, art helps us erase that eternal border that divides us. It allows us to establish relationships and reflections with a territory that is said to be foreign and unknown.
