Our performance consisted of a projection of an image that serves as a ceremonial altar for collective healing. The visual features sacred geometric forms and symbols, in the center it has a hand holding a piece of corn that is serves as an offering. Tane ward recited his poem “ritual” and guided the audience in the interactive ceremony while Victor Cruz was playing Colombian drums to elevate the experience. Paola and Beatriz set up a physical ofrenda in the form of a circle on the floor for audience to gather and have the experience. Paola and Beatriz took care of ceremonial objects and the space.
